Tapestry of Scenes is a fitting sequel to Morag Henriksen’s successful Scenery of Dreams, which reflected the life and soul of the West Highlands communities where she has lived most of her life. Tapestry broadens her canvas to include more poetry and drawings as well as stories and visions from her travels around the world.
Like Scenery of Dreams, Morag’s latest volume is at once delightful and poignant, troubling and optimistic.
Morag Henriksen, a Ross from Ross-shire, grew up in Lochcarron and at Dingwall Academy and was a teacher in Edinburgh, Portree and Uig. An artist, poet and singer, she has lived on the Isle of Skye since 1967 and has two sons, Ross and Scott, both artists, and two grandchildren, Finn and Molly.
