Featuring from the original Animals –
John Steel and Mick Gallagher (The Blockheads, The Clash, Paul McCartney) John E. Williamson (Titanic)
Peter Barton (Wayne Fontana's Mindbenders)

“The band that shook the world back in 1964 have re-invented themselves …quality and distinct sound that was, and still is, The Animals…” (Barry Kirk, Romford Recorder)

2007 marked founder member JOHN STEEL’s 50th year as performing musician. Back in 1957 he and The Animals co-founder ERIC BURDON began plying their trade in and around their native Tyneside with not the slightest inking that they would - in a very few years – find themselves part of a group that would be forever bracketed with the very best of British music – The Beatles, The Rolling Stones and The Yardbirds – and respected all over the world. The Animals would also be the second British band after The Beatles to top the American charts with their multi-million selling anthem, ‘House of The Rising Sun’.

The rock star from Wales, who created the famed Spencer Davis Group in 1963, has close to a dozen top 10 hit songs, including ‘Gimme Some Lovin’, ‘Somebody Help Me’, ‘I'm A Man’, and ‘Keep On Runnin’, helping to bring British rock 'n roll to the rest of the world. Touring all over the globe since 1984, Spencer’s last UK tour was two years ago, alongside old friends, The Yardbirds.
Following the initial split of the band, Spencer worked at Island Records – where he worked on the careers of Bob Marley and Robert Palmer, to name but two - and since 1984, has toured all over the World, making guest appearances or opening for Hall & Oates, The Marshall Tucker Band, Grateful Dead, Gary US Bonds, Levon Helm of The Band, The E Street Band and Alvin Lee.

Not to be missed and early booking highly recommended.
